Whether you are just beginning to fly fish or have many years of experience and want to improve your skills, we offer one-on-one instruction tailored to your needs. There are many casting instructors, but we like to focus on helping you improve your fishing success. From rigging your rod, to on-stream techniques and tactics for both dry fly and nymph fishing, to catch and release methods, we'll work with you where it really counts - on the river under real conditions. Instruction is available for individuals, couples or groups.

Mike Kinney and I are also offering on-stream two-handed rod instruction.  Mike is viewed by many as one of the best two-handed rod instructors in the country. A pioneer in the use of two-handed rods in the NorthWest, he was also an early leader in the development of line systems for these long rods and has designed rods for Meiser Rods and Temple Fork Outfitters.

Mike also conducts a public clinic every Sunday Morning at 9:00 am on the Skykomish River with "All About The Fly" which is the Fly Shop serving fisherman in the Monroe area.  This clinic is held at Ben Howard Boat Ramp.
